Famous for its beaches, surf and laid back lifestyle.
A Coastal Town Surrounded By Cities
The Central Coast is located on Australia’s east coast, between Sydney and Newcastle. Unlike these two cities, the area still maintains a reputation for a slower-lifestyle. With beaches, national parks and hinterlands all within a 20-minute drive, it’s no surprise the Coast is growing fast.
The southern parts of the Coast include suburbs like Gosford, Umina, Woy Woy, Kariong, Erina and Terrigal. This end of the coast has been popular with Sydney commuters due to its proximity to Sydney.
The northern parts of the Coast include popular suburbs like Tuggerah, The Entrance, Toukley, Gorokan, Budgewoi and Lake Munmorah. This end of the Coast is closer to Newcastle and has a distinct laid-back feel.
It’s no surprise that the population is growing by around 2,000 people per year.
Temperatures On The Central Coast
The Coast has a wide range of temperatures throughout the year. Winter average temperatures on the Central Coast hover around 14 degrees. The average temperatures in summer can be around 23 degrees. However, in summer, maximum temperatures can push 40 degrees.
